So I'm a little bummed with the weather so I thought I'd share some pics of my new Moose Racing bumper and DG Baja skid plate. I was too lazy to wash it first.... so here it is

Sorry about the crappy pics

Yeah, nice looking bumper, it fits in great with your rappy.

Good luck with that skid though, they're flimsy compared to most other aftermarket skids. Mine got one hard hit in the middle, all the welds cracked or broke, and the whole thing got mangled. I got it pressed back out, welded a 1/4" aluminum plate on the bottom of it, and welded it with a big thick bead all the way on both sides of the mount. The way DG builds them just isn't real smart. If you're careful how you ride, it should be fine, but if you ride like me, you're probably gonna need to repair it or get a stronger one eventually (but my mentality when riding is usually "why swerve around a rock when I have a skid plate nad can go right over it?"

I'm not too worried, if it ever does get FUBARed I can fix it up no problem as I am a skilled aluminum welder. I do like the idea of the 1/4" plate welded on the bottom, if need be I could rig that up no problem. Thanks for the idea.

If you can weld aluminum, it would actually be a good idea to reinforce it BEFORE it gets all messed up, and the edges start curling in and everything. It's a pain to get it straightened out after the sprocket and rotor start rubbing it and the weak welds that are on from the factory break.

It's a little hard to believe that this pic is of a skid less than a year old

Then after it was reinforced:

that bumper looks real good bro.... my dg skid did the same as yamarider's did, got the welds beefed up in the same places as his

YamaRider:
