new chain

Gonna get a new chain today, what type should I get? I was thinkin bout an o ring chain. But what about an x ring? Do I need to get a chain breaker to?

by the way I'm running 14/40 sprockets so I assume a 100 link chain will work right?

I think 87 88 are 100 link the newer ones are 98 link.

would that be alright? i know its way long, but id rather buy a chain thats longer then end up with one to short.

Yea if you have more gears on your sprockets you might need longer chain. In not 100% sure though.
