new member, 87ish Warrior rider

Hey guys, I'm new. I ride an 87-89 (not sure) warrior that I've been slowly getting going for the last few years. I got it for free and it wasn't running, and I worked on it as I had time. It's my first quad and it's been awesome to learn on (both learning to ride and learning to wrench). I hope I can share a bit from what I've learned, and also be teachable and learn from this community. Here's some pics of my machine.

See, I've been thinking it's an 87, but the person I got it from insists it's an 89. The problem is there's no paper work to go with it. I just tell people it's an 87.

Your VIN number will tell you what year it is. It's located on the frame under your shifter. The 10th digit represents the year. Then go to this link http://www.atvstyle.com/atv-vin-number and scroll down to the chart with the years on it.

Tenth vin character is H for 87, J for 88. Yours should be an 87 by the colors alone. You also have the 87-88 headlamps.

Thanks guys! I love this machine. I wanted a quad my whole life and through different series of events, I was never able to have one until I got this one. It's been a blast!
