Alright so I will give the run down. I have had a 97 Wolverine for about 4 years now and finally traded it off straight across for a 02 Warrior..... It needs some work.
At the moment it has an oil leak behind front sprocket and I have figured out that it is the countershaft seal and it goes out on alot of them.
Second problem. It has no muffler. It what looks like the factory header and then a pipe of equal size just welded on, which you can imagine makes this annoyingly loud.
Last, when driving on pavement or dirt at any speed the handling seems incredibly touchy and like if I make one wrong flinch its gonna be a nasty wreck. How can I make this thing less touchy at higher speeds and just riding.
I would like to make this a project but I'm not planning on any big bore kits or anything too extensive, or expensive! First purchase is going to be countershaft oil seal kit, oil change and front sprocket. Next is going to have to be muffler and header.
Im a college kid with a part time job a Wally world so you can imagine how low on money I am. I WANT A RELIABLE ENGINE. That is what I want more than anything. Help me achieve that. I can spend about 200 every 2 weeks so if anyone can steer me in the right direction on what purchases to make for a reliable fast engine it would be greatly appreciated.
