My dad had a 71 F-250...been through a ton of stuff. One time it backfired and we threw snow in the carb to put it out, and it still ran after that. LOL, it had that signature ford 'tick' to it too.

My '87 F-150 has a spark knock (tick) if I run regular in it. I put flow masters on it. NO MORE TICK! Or ya can't hear it anyway...lol.
