New stator...now timming is off?

My buddy has a 2000 warrior and he got the local small engine shop to install a new stator and now they say it runs but the timing is off? Apparently the tech there is a yamaha tech. This sound right??

nope, but just fix the timing and your good to go. He a Yamaha piano tech?

the 2 have nothing to do with eachother when your just changing the stator out. If it's out of time, it has been out of time

Yea same kid had to get hit rocker arm fixed or adjusted or something not 100 sure last summer by the same tech. Now the tech fixed the stator and says the timing is off I think he is screwing him

Timing is actually really simple to do, Id go pick it up and check the timing your self.
