I purchased a 03' Warrior and would like advice on adding power. Exhaust, air intake, big bore and any other ideas everyone may have.

I would also like to know where a good site would be to find custom body parts, skid plate and Nerf bars.

Just put on new tires so I got that covered.

I know these questions have been asked a million times in the past, I just don't want to spend 10 days reading 700 post on power adders. I was part of a R1 Forum for years and so I do know what this question is going to do....sorry! Just need help.

Thank you to everyone in advance...

id say ebay is a good bet for parts,
maier makes aftermrket plastics for the warrior that have similiar styling to that of the raptor 350
you can find many exhausts out there, any from hmf to yoshimira
hot rods makes a 400 stroker crank and piston kit, or you can send urs in to FST and have yours stoked to like 446 (of course boring too)
then of course theres hicomp pistons overbore pistons
the oil cooler mod is highly recomended for any engine work
you can buy a k&n airfilter and run your airbox without the cover to attain more flow
edelbrock makes a carb which increase power
many cams out there, the most "aggresive" ive seen is from poweroll
racing a-arms swingarms and axles are out there
what size tires are you running, most people run 20 inch in the back, then run a 14 tooth front and 40 tooth rear sprocket
banshee front and rear shocks are a upgrande, but the banshee rear you have to mod your airbox, or you can just buy after market elka, works and others
then thers aftemarket valves and springs which are recomended with most cams
may brands make skid plates and bumpers, just search ebay Yamaha warrior _______ bumper or whatever you want
there are also graphics kits for the stokc fenders, just talk to deadlast, here is his warior with some graphics http://www.trx450rforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=9684
and also check the Classifieds section for some deals on parts
also forgot raptor rear shock adn yfz450 front shocks will work on a warrior
theres steering stems and just about anyhting you could want for a warrior out there

yfz450 front shocks will work on a warrior[/quote]

the yfz front shock can be fit on but it is not highly reccomended because of the stress it puts on balljoints, because if memory serves me right they are like an inch longer than what the warrior is biult for. with aftermarket a arms you good.

How much do u want to spend? How much power do u want? Look in the links section for places to buy from.

For starters I want to thank everone for your input. "Thank you"

I raced for a few years back in the day (15-20 years ago) and had a family member die on a 4 wheeler while riding with me so I gave it up. Part of the "getting better" was to purchase one and ride again. Now that I'm riding again I would like more HP and low end take off. The tires I bought helped with the grip a lot.

I don't really want to get into the motor stuff yet but someday soon I will. What is a good combo to get the best HP from a few mods? Exhause, Air, sprockets ect for say under $2000? And what steps do I need to do the get ready for the motor work?

Thanks again,

Ed

though i haven't used any of these; a nice cam w/ exhaust, and airfilter. figure around 500. get a cdi with a higher rev limit and reworked ignition curve, 100. is yours a cali model? i think i read that the cali model has a 36mm carb whereas the 49 state models have a 38. buy some jets and get it jetted right. irdium plugs are supposed to be a gain, though for anywhere from 10-30 a piece, it better be a big gain for me.

yeah thats what i was thinking, for 2 grand and all you want is a pipe air filter and sprockets? for 2 grand i could do a pair of works, a-arms, cam and pipe/airfilter/ and a 446 with maybe a 450 carb or somthin
