Hello all! I have a 2001 Warrior 350. It will not start by electric start. Initially the starter went out. Internals completely destroyed itself. I have had the starter rebuilt before so I just sucked it up and bought a new one. Prior to the starter going out it started and ran GREAT. New starter came in, bolted up, and it would not start. Yes, the key is on, the kill switch is in the run position, and bike is in neutral, and for good measure clutch pulled in.
Tested battery, 12.7+ volts on a new battery. Tested spark, good to go, replaced plug anyways, good spark on it too. Tested compression, good to go. Still no electric start. Pulled behind another atv, popped clutch, and started like normal. Once started it ran just as it ever had before. Once warmed up, shut it down, tried to start electrically, would not start. To be clear, the motor IS turning over, but it will not actually start.
I checked the starter solenoid, good to go. Checked the neutral safety switch, bad! Changed it out, still no electric start. I am not incredibly smart on the electrical parts of this bike. But it seams to me that it is either the Stator or the CDI box. As they are both somewhat expensive, any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.
