i'm in the market for a chain. i'm thinking of buying a cheapo 30 dollar chain from ebay. It looks like non o-ring chains are cheaper than o-ring chains. is there a real advantage to o-ring chains? i have owned both in the past and never seen a real difference.

i had a non o ring chain and it stretched a lot and also the links really got hard to move and eventually after a long 6 hour day at wellsville on the way back to the truck it jumped off my sprocket and i had to rig it in the woods and mud while getting dark. sucked haha.

thats enough for me lol, i'll spring the extra 15 bucks and get an o-ring chain. I guess there is a reason warriors come stock with one

The o-rings helps keep dirt and muck out of the links and they seem to last longer.

I run high quality non o-ring on my bikes, but will opt for an O-ring chain for the warrior, they are much closer to the soup!!
BTW a $30 O-ring chain sounds scary to me, my non O-rings run $55 and a good o-ring runs $80-$180

just a little food for thought

Yea a good sprocket and o-ring chain set should start you at about 150, for a decent one and go up from there.
