Alright, so I couldn't fing the right size 90degree brass fitting so the guy at the hardware store set me up with a bigger 90 and a tap for it. Ofcourse they is a reason to use the size the instuctons say but I was thinking yeah this will work. I drilled it and tapped it and while tapping it it took out the side of the oil galley. Yeah that made me real happy, I would just toss the cover but I sent 6hrs polishing it earlier today so I'm a little upset. I put some jb weld putty over the hole, do you think it will be alright or should I just toss it? It's a spare cover but bought everything for the oil cooler but am nervous about tapping another cover.

  me personally i dont even like the idea that i have epoxy in the galley between the fittings on the clutch cover and it dosent really matter if that were to leak as it would still lube the crank. i wouldnt ever put any epoxy to patch the oil galley because if it were to fail then youll be rebuilding the whole bottom end of the motor as a result. personaly id rather lose a day of polishing the cover than end up blowing the motor and spending a crapload of money to rebuild it. if i were you id leave the stock cover on there. also its pretty critical that you use the 1/8NPT fitting as there isnt a whole lot of thickness there to play with. anything larger and youll most likely end up in the same boat your in now.
