My son took our 87 warrior out to play in the snow yesterday. Well when he came back the whole motor was covered in oil. Can see its coming from head but not exactly where. Any suggestions on where to start?
Im looking for another motor to replace this one if anybody has one to sell. We then can rebuild this one.
Thanx, Ray

check the tightness of all the covers on the head (the 2 valves and cam gear) and their respective o-rings, and go from there.

yeah, check the o-rings like mentioned above. also, the bolts holding those covers could have backed loose. i've had that happen before too. if it's not those then check the compression because it's a possibility that the head gasket could be out.

That was it. Valve cover. Thanx for the help. I do appreciate it. Now to get it smoking train fixed.
