What is the recommended way to remove the old factory warning stickers from the plastics? They have been there since '97, and I need to take them off so I can repaint the plastics.

I have used heat and googone for removing them from cars, just not sure how this plastic would react.

The warning stickers? They're just pop riveted on with some crappy glue behind them. Just drill the rivets and peel the plates off.

If you're talking about the regular factory graphics, a pressure washer took mine off in a couple minutes, without leaving residue and all that mess.

Good luck painting plastics, unless you're real careful and don't ride in the woods, your plastics will look worse than before when that paint starts peeling after a couple rides. Painting quad plastics just doesn't work very well 95% of the time. That other 5% of the time is dune quads that are prepped properly, and the right paint is used.

Mine came out pretty good when I painted it. Still looks good if I clean it.

Mine were just glued on, no rivets. I ended up using the hairdryer and peeled them off. They came off easier than expected for how old they are.

As for painting them, I am going to give Krylon Fusion a try.

Krylon Fusion is some pretty good stuff. I painted my Halo with it, and played 2 seasons (tournaments and practice) as a front-man and it held up great. Make sure you follow the directions though; Your supposed to let each coat dry for at least 24 hours before applying the next.
