Open air box

Okay newb question here but, when people say run open lid air box, do you just take the lid off and leave the two tubes connected or do you take off them too?

You just take the lid off, but u need to buy a clamp on air filter kit because the stock filter is held down by the lid. Also u would need to rejet the carb.

or you can cut most of the lid off. Just leave the front part to hold the stock filter in place. Look at the newest stuff I have for sale post for an example.
