ok tonight me and the wife jumped on my 87 warrior to head out to her uncles woods. i noticed that when we were goin through the field i felt a vibration in the footpegs when the motor was reaching the high rpms... i went through all the gears and reved it all the way out. each gear i could feel the vibration. when we were done she asked if i noticed it to. could it be the crank? or crank bearings goin out? or maybe just a loose motor mount? there is a knocking goin on too inside the motor. like the rod bearings are shot... when i got this 87 my wifes uncles kids ran the bitch outta oil so thats why i rebuild the top end... im thinkin thats not the only thing i shoulda rebuit...:argh: please any help would be awesome! im suppost to be goin on a family trip to hocking hills next friday and taking the quads, i need to figure this out asap!

it sounds like hopefully a loose mount. That's the easiest so I say it's the best place to start. If it's the crank, crank bearing, or counterbalancer that means splitting the case. I hope that it's not any of those.

ok tomorrow im gonna tear the body off it and check everything. when i had the motor out in the spring of 09 the left side of the top mount was broke. but why would it all of a sudden start to vibrate now after so long of riding? this is prob a dumb question but if it is the crank do u guys recommend me goin to the trails next week? i mean im not worried if its the crank cause i have a very nice stock crank with a hotrods rod on it and the bearings feel great but we've had this planned all year!:argh:

ok well i checked every bolt on this thing, none where loose. the rear and front bearings are good to go. the left top motor mount has been broke ever since i rebuilt it back in 08. so i had a good one off my 97 monster warrior, put that one on, put the body back on and took it down the road and i reved through all the gears and i didnt notice any vibration. its wierd that i just noticed it yesterday and not right after the rebuild. oh well, im not worrying about it. goin to the trip next week! CANT WAIT!! and after that im gonna put my good hotrods crank in it. cause the one thats in it knocks pretty good.

u ever find out if that is the stroker crank or stock one? Hotrods never got back to me.

well dead i got on there site and found the section for the warrior. the crank i have looks nothing like the hotrods crank. but it is a stock crank with a hotrods rod on it. on the side of the rod it says HR 605, and the standard stroke rod hotrods makes has 605 in its part number.... so i figured that the rod went bad and someone replaced it with a hotrods standard rod... sorry man
