Problem starting

Hi guys I have a little problem.
The quad won't start with the starter, it cranks and everything but won't start. It only starts if I pull it with another quad and once is hot it would start no problem.Anyone know what could be the problem?

Probably have an out of spec stator. Do a search and you should be able to find the procedure for testing it, and what the specs are. You might want to look into a valve adjustment if those haven't been done for a while.
