Great site. I plan on reading as much as I can find and learning a lot from you guys.

Just bought a 98 Wolverine that is in pretty good shape, just about box stock.

I don't PLAN on doing a lot of mods, but have been thinking about a Warn 424. And for sure I would like to get more aggressive tires. I will be using it mostly for trail riding here in Colorado as well as a hunting rig. I have a 2500 lb. winch on the way and plan to buy some tire chains for the front. Where I go turkey hunting in the spring there can be deep mud as well as snow that drifts up to 6-7 feet in spots.

Any suggestions for mods? Is the 424 worth getting? What tires should I look at to make it better in the mud and snow. I really don't want to go any bigger on the tires as I've heard the bigger tires can be harder to turn in mud etc...

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dean

Nice looking machine! I have Carlisle 489's on my machine. They're 23" tires, but they have a bit more bite than the stockers. I've been very happy with mine so far.

The 424 is a great mod. The Wolverine zips around like a sport machine in 2wd. I think the price of the 424 went up though recently.
