Pull start to no pull start

I am pulling the pull start off and Wondering if anybody else has done this? I pulled off the piece thats bolts on to the crank for the pull start and it looks like it seals off the oil. I would like a pic of what a non standard pull start looks like behind the plastic cover.

Well it looks like i need a boss starter nut part # 3GD-15777-10-00 anybody have a spare lol?

i took mine off and grinded the welds off the back of the gear thats bolted to the crank and put that piece back in

Well I just found one off an 89 for 20 bucks shipped. I grabbed it on ebay.

I'd keep the pull start, always nice to have a backup, and if you take it off and have all the parts, it's worth some money, lots of peeps want them as a back up

Yea Im gonna keep it or trade it off for parts for me rebuild. I always ride with other ppl that can bump start me. It gets in the way of my direct shifter and I don't like the way it looks lol.
