Well my warrior seemed to be lagging lately so I figured it was time for a rebuild. I took the top end apart and I found out that the engine was never rebuilt! (The motor is from an 87 warrrior) Its still the stock 83mm. The cyl walls were all scratched and not smooth. So my question is should I go with a wiesco high compression or just a standard piston? Im gonna get a .20 over piston because i have to get the cyl honed/bored.

If you can afford the upgrade for a Hi-comp go with that! It will work nice with that new bore. Were you told that at one point that the engine was upgraded?

I bought the quad from a friend of my dad. He totaled it and bent the frame. I swapped to an 01 frame after that. He only told me that it doesnt smoke and has decent power.

yea i would put a higher compression piston in if you already have it apart. if your not sure what to get to be afraid to ask or research, i know there is a lot on that.
