would it be okay if i bought new valve seals and keep the same valves? im only replacing cause it smokes on cold start and when you punch the gas.

You need to have the valves removed from the head to do the seals. You'll need a valve spring compressor. I had to make an adapter for my compressor since the space where the springs are is so limited. They don't just fall out, they are a pain in the butt to do. I don't recommend the job for a beginner.
Just rering the piston if the bore's ok and run it.
