quick jet question

as a jetting newbie, i walked into the dealer and asked for a couple main jets.. i asked for a 147 150 and 155.. all they had was the 150.. but it does not look like my stock 145.

the stocker has a flat head type where as this one is just a 6mm bolt.

can i still use it? did the guy give me the wrong jet?

Did you tell him what the jet was for? It sounds like he gave you a Keihein jet, you need a Mikuni jet.

yeah he asked what kinda carb and i told him.. maybe hes an ass.. .. this is my first time so i will probally have more of these stupid quesitons

it could be a mikuni jet but its not for the right carb... take it back along with the stock... show him the stock one and tell him thats what you need...

just off topic a bit but where are you guys ordering pilot jets for under $20. The dealership told me the same price and i walked

i got mine at State 8, it was under 2 bucks out the door.

i went to jetsrus.com for my jets because my dealer is crazy..... got the oem style ones... all is good after about 4 days shipping....
