alright last weekend i went biking with my buddy that has a brand hemmerin new yfz450. I tried following him up some hills. the yfz made it up no problem but my rappy fell out of gear everytime we went up this one hill and everytime we got stuck and i had to razz-on-er a little. my question is, is there a rev limiter or some safety device on these things i wasnt aware of? Ive also tried it and it does it in atleast 2nd and 3rd. Thanks for any advice i recieve

The raptor 350 does have a rev limiter but it's way above the engine's peak power rpm.

What do you mean by "it's falling out of gear"?

I mean that sometimes it just stops moving, like its in between gears, and then u up shift or down shift and it pops back in

Did you make sure the reverse lever was all the way forward. Iv done this before.

Yeah, the only minor thing that could cause this problem is if it was slipping out of gear due to the reverse lever not fully engaged, or if the reverse linkage isn't adjusted to put it all the way in the forward gear. Other than that it sounds like there's an internal problem with your transmission, maybe a bent shift fork. It definitely doesn't have anything to do with a rev limiter.

thanks guys, i'll try adjusting my reverse linkage and see if this cures her

meh the quadrecer plastics dontt look bad, I had bought them brand new right before my old q-racer blew, and yeah as soon as i can get my digital camera fixed ill post some pics
