Well guys this is my first post, I am currently riding a 02 Warrior, had it since new, she's bone stock right now. Just now getting a laundry list of lots of mods to be done, one in particular I have been thinking about is the Raptor 350 plastics. Are the doable? or is it not worth the effort and money? I have seen the maier plastics and am not impressed, plus my stockers are perfect, nothing is busted, just looking for a newer look since I'll be tearing it all done this winter to do an overhaul on the chassis, powercoating (candy blue) and some suspension mods as well as performance.

Will grab some photos of it some time this week, gonna be riding two or three times at our practice track so have to get some action photos of how a stock warrior does table tops. ;)

Well since it's a first post might as well say Hi! to everyone, glad to be here, cool that there is still a strong community for these 2-valve wonders, it may not be the fastest quad out there but they sure are a good quad, and gets the job done, dependably I might add also.

Thanks for the input guys!

go for it man, I am doing the same thing slowly as we speak. The big things you have to swap are the grab bar bolting points - since they hold the raptors rear plastic in place, need a raptor gas tank, raptor air box, raptor seat assembly, all the fender brackets and stays, raptor intake and filter to fit the new air box, a few frame modifications. It can be done though with enough money.

My problem is that I have a yfz that I mainly ride so I really dont save a lot of part money for the raptor after im done buying for the yfz

Thanks for the replys guys! Much Appreciated. My business partner and friend just picked up another 400ex cheap and he is sweetening it up with some nerfs, bumper, HID Lighting (I am a dealer for these), and some other stuff. He is trying to get me to convert, but I'm a diehard Yamaha fan, and would really rather stick money into the ol' warrior. I might hold off on the Raptor plastics for now, but your posts are encouraging that it can be done.

Do you guys have any suggestions for what typical should be modded on the warrior? The oil cooler mod is going to be done here soon to keep the oil temps lower.

Thanks!

deff. upgrade the exhaust and shocks. those two alone are the best upgrades to be done. Then work your way into the engine the after that do other cosmetic stuff.

A new carb is also very useful because the stock one is just horrible. Same with the shifter. I would also recommend removing the parking brake assembly because I've heard lots of complaining about it.

Edelbrock carb if your not a carb person (easy to set up), If you are then a Mikuni HSR flatslide can't be beat, or a Keihin FCR. Just check out the exhaust section for comparisons.
