any reason why raptor 660 shocks wont fit on my warrior? if anyone has done the swap let me know how its going for ya.

The front shocks are longer than the stock ones. Everybody has their own opinion on this but I discourage it, you take the risk of breaking your ball joints because they are going to be pushed further than they were designed. And if/when a ball joint does break you run the risk of getting hurt pretty bad.

The rear ones are also longer than stock, and 2002-newer ones have an offset piggyback reservoir that won't fit because of interference with the swingarm. The 2001's work but you have to figure out a new way to mount the reservoir because the hose is shorter than the warrior one. I didn't like the longer rear because it makes the back end sit higher which made the handling a little sketchy sometimes and it made it more difficult to keep the chain in adjustment.

well i dont need the rear one, just the fronts and i have relocated mounts so im not too worried in that case. thanks

Yea i bolted up a set of raptor shocks to the front.... all it did was make it set too high and it rode like a ton of bricks.... I cant imagine YFZ shocks or anything else being much diffrent. Honestly i have been riding with the stock fronts and widened front end for years and have never really had any problems with jumps and stuff. The stock shocks are more plush and soak up bumps better.. The raptors just bounced me all over the place.... not to mention they make climbing big hills tough..... The front end is too high and to me they just throw the whole bike weight off. It's more in the landing rather than if your shocks can handle it. Ive seen people hit some pretty big **** with stock warrior suspension. Aftermarket is the way to go in any case.

i've been running raptor front shocks since 04 and a rear shock since 06.. IMO if you have the money buy aftermarket, in my case i didn't. I have my rear shock setup about perfect for me and the way i ride, it does push the swingarm down quite a bit but i havn;t had any problems. One thing you'll have to do is cut off the lower chain roller. I personally love my shocks and over stock could never go back.
