Has anybody thought of a way to mod the reverse linkage like the shifter? Wonder if it make it easier to get reverse and forward if it was direct shift like the yz 250 shifter? One thing I would worry about is how easy it would be to bump it into reverse. Or could the lever be kinda under the seat or frame?

it's just how the internals of the tranny works on reverse... it's about the best way to do it.

So its all internal then? Like the gears or meshed too tight on tolerances?

it's something you have to see to understand on how it works. it's all right from the factory it's just with the small amount of room available here's not alot of options and a manual shift quad for a company to make it super easy to use reverse like on a Polaris or something

Well shoot thought there could be another cool free mod that would make it better.

Electric reverse

I'm going to see if I can get a servo / solenoid and make my reverse work with a push of a button.

Shifter linkage isn't a shaft style gear, its a lever gear. Meaning, to engage and dis engage, to moves forward and back, so a shifter that sits on a shaft and moves up and down wouldn't work at all.

Servo setup would be cool.

What I had in mind was to have lever that was easier to move and get rid of all the linkage thats there so its more direct movement.
