SCRATCHED PLASTICS.??

: I bought my wife a 2003 Warrior and the rear plastics have some scratches. Is it possible to finely sand and polish out these scratches? If i have to paint them , what is the process and materials required? Thanks..

you can do it but it will be alot of work, dont paint them at all never

yea the paint will just flake off and ull have to keep paintin it over and over again

but u could lightly sand them and go over it with a torch but dont let the flame hit the plastic cz itll charr it

My rear fenders were pretty beat, and left for dead when i got it. Sanded the crap out of them, then used Plastic Renew. They look like new again. Took me about 6 hours, but they came back nice. Now once a year, i apply 2 fresh coats and bam!.

I have not heard of Plastic Renew. May be we don't have it in Australia. I will Google it and see what I find. Thanks for the advice.

You can paint your plastics. Just sand them down really fine and use a plastic paint or an automotive paint with a flex additive but try to stay away from spray paint. Take it to a paint shop and have them do it with an air gun. then clear coat them with a couple of coats.

Meh, it'll look good all the way up until the first time it gets rolled, or you get roosted, or you get too close to some tree branches, then you end up looking worse than you started, and with a thinner wallet. Unless you're just riding in dunes or open fields paint isn't going to work out very well.
