Shift Lever

What is the best replacement shift lever? Is it better to use a direct shifter like the YZ250F, or an upgraded linkage shifter from Tusk? Does the YZ shifter need to be modified to fit?

I think the general agreement here is that a direct linkage is amazing, and much better than anything else. It'll fit no problems unless you have the Big Brear oil cooler setup or a larger stator cover. It is a bit harder to shift and it extends out a bit further than stock, but it's so much more precise. And the shifter from any YZ 4-stroke bike fits (YF250, 450, etc) and also the YFZ450 shifter.
