Bout a used 350 for $700 in May…ended up having to get a whole new engine bc transmission was shot along with changing basics.. carb, battery, new tires…finally got everything on last week and on the first ride the linkage on my shifter broke…good thing was able to make it back to the Hyundai bout 4th gear…question is what is everyone opinion on taking the linkage shifter off and making it a direct shifter…as long as it’s a steel shifter

Pretty common upgrade actually. I used a cheap one off a yz250 that puts the shifter a little forward of stock but fits right on. On my friends quad, I've taken the stock lever and cut and welded it to make it fit as a direct shifter too
