K well heres my choices...i need to know in like a day but ill drag it out because i might be able to get one of them after the action ends.....Well fox floats that i can adjust when ever i want by myself to any riding style or works pro series that are piggy backs and only compression and preload adjustable and set up for xc....well if you vote please leave and answer why...

Im not a big fan of works anymore becuase i had like the lease expence pair and i didnt have them set up right and i havent herd much from the fox floats but i hope some of you guys know some stuff about each of these shocks.

Well in the 4 forums i put this on including here ive only herd a few people that didnt like them. Other then that eveyone likes them. But the works pros are also good i herd so idk what i should get. Im tring to see what the guy will sell the floats for BIN.

I don't have any experience with the floats, but just knowing that they have a lot more that can go wrong and wear out (more seals and pressurized chambers) I would feel better with a regular dual rate spring. I don't know much about those works though, but it looks like they use the same body, shaft, and seals as the a/t steelers. That would turn me away from them, because in less than a year one of mine was leaking noticably.

How much $$ can you get the floats for? I think the standard ones like that sell for 450-500 new.

the new ones will sell for for anywhere from 700-900 depending on where you get them from. Im still working out how much he will sell the floats for. I wont go over 500 for them if i do get them. But ill ive herd is good things about how the only thing that has gone wronge for people is they didnt check the pressure beofre a ride and they blew then out then they needed a rebuild. Besides that everyone loves them on onther forums.

Fox Floats like that sell for about $500 new. It's the race model with the reservoirs that sell for 900. Ain't no way in hell i'd pay that for a used set.

i would choose between the works and elkas, not fox

Okay thats no compairison there....elkas fo sho....and no they dont sell for 500 new, the sell for 700-900. the race ones with the rezzys sell for like 1200-1400 depending on where your getting them from....if you can find them for 500 tell me where its all becasue i will be all over those.

im looking for elkas with rezzys perferably piggybacks and are fully compression and preload adjustable. They go for 850 brand new on ebay the ones i want but i might be getting these floats for 400 so i might be going with these otherwise the guy that im getting my tires and rims off of will sell me his works that i was talking about because they didnt sell on ebay.

I would go with the Fox Floats over the works. One of the guys I race with has them on his z400 and his new ltr450, neither have the resevoirs. He has had them on z400 for 2 years and nothing has gone gone wrong with them, and he races with them year round. I have rode that z400 and the shocks perform just as well as a set of elkas or PEP's.

I would also go with the fox floats, i have herd nothing but great things about them. i can;t tell you from personal experence but from the people i have seen that had them had nothing put positive things to say about them. I also havnt had experecnce with Works Pros , But i have with Tripple rates with Remote rezzies, they were goos and all but i reall wasn't that impressed better than stock but expected more. So i would say if your could snagg up those Floats go for it dude

You have about 3-4 posts about shocks...... lets keep it a little more confined considering they are all exactly the same.
