Just a thought on shortening the Trapp, it's long & gets black nasty residue all over the grab bar, then either I or the Mrs. Put our hands in it. Now, for me personally it's no biggie, my hands are dirty/greasy everyday! For her, well, she's disgusted by it, lol!

Anyway, I've read that shortening the sliencer can enhance low end torque, I know, it's gonna make it loud as hell, the question is how much should I try to shorten it? Or should I?

I'd shorten it 4-5 inches. You will gain alot of top end, longer means more bottom end...

I have Also noticed most people think that short cans give you more bottom end, which makes no sence to me. There would bee more restriction/backpressure with a longer pipe, and less restriction/backpressure with a short pipe. With drag pipes on a 4-stroke, they are shorter, and they give you a TON of top end. And less bottom end, because if you are a drag racer, because power at 4,000 RPM doesn't really matter.

I'd like to shorten it down a couple inches just because I can't get it apart right now & I'D like to repack it. It would also prevent it from getting torn up from willies or some other non-driver. We'll see, I hear there's a lil power from repacking so I'd like to try. I like experimenting with lil stuff like this.

I think people dont understand the ideas of shortening the scilencer and how it increases flow on a 2 stroke its a huge difference shortening the scilencer

on 2 strokes its like going from a stock exhaust to a full aftermarket its a huge difference on 2 banggers i haven't tried it on mine im going to leave mine as is for now i like the torque when im in the dunes
