Should my Stator side have oil in it????

I just purchased a 2000 warrior 350 not running. Replaced the stator and it cranked an ran fine, but there was alot of oil in the case in which covered the stator. Is this common??? or do I have a bad seal somewhere???

I just have never seen a stator that ran wet with oil from engine side, but this is also my first quad. i have always had 2 stroke bikes.

Please help. I dont want to ruin a $200.00 stator if I need to replace a seal

Its normal, the stator is in oil.

yup, there is oil in that side of the engine.

if you changed the stator then you had to have noticed there is a hole right under your flywheel. i know this becasue in the process of changing my stator i droped a washer in my case hwat a pain in the ass that was to get out!
