Simple Carb Idle Question

Which way do you turn the idle mixture screw to richen the mixture? Is it an air bleed system where you turn in the screw or is it a fuel bleed system where you turn out the screw?

You turn it out its in front of the throttle plate the ones on the air box side usually get turned in to richen.
