try jumping the post on the solenoid and see if it cranks. if it does then it's the solenoid if it doesn't it's probably the starter. my 99 is doing the same thing, but the starter is fried.

culd i hook up a charger to the post or do i have to jump it?

do i have to take the cable off of the post to do it or keep it on?

what do i do with the other clamp for the jumper cables? put it on the battery?

my bad i should have been a lot more clear. just use a screw driver to arc the post on the solenoid.

don't use the charger for anything. should have worded that different my earlier post.

okay, to make sure it's the starter you can bench test it with the charger. first, take your starter out and then w/ the charger put the negative on the casing and the positive on the starter terminal. see if it spins or not and that will be able to tell you a lot too.

ya i did the starters bad u know anyone with a starter?

ebay i guess. im looking for one too, but i have something else up my sleeve first.
