Yeah the stock coil, which is actually pretty good doesn't have a removable wire. Factory glues the wire in place. The hot shot coil is a POS and has less spark engery then the stock one but will except a different plug wire.

I have a MSD coil that is made for fourwheelers but it gives about the same spark engery as the stocker. That will except any plug wire you want to put on.

Just use a non resistor cap if you want to do it.. it's really won't make a difference though.

Actually after some poking around in the stock coil i got all the rubber guts out and there is indeed a pin. You would have to reglue the wire in like the stock one was. Im going to try and get this to work with some MSD wires i have laying around.

Really!! Nice dude!

More then likely yours will break off in it. Just use a pik and get all old rubber out. Once its all out there is a metal pin that attachs to your new wire.

Ahhh, the word "epoxy" what a marvelous thing introduced into the world of fabricators, Lol!!! Damn, we'll epoxy anything won't we! I guarantee you that there are rednecks somewhere that have epoxied a Damn car door on or something, Lol!!! Better yet, they've Prolly epoxied a empty beer bottle to their best drunken buddys' passed out ass!

Well, I didn't want to start a new thread just for this but I finally broke down & did the wire mod. I used MSD SUPER Conductor wire that I had, just had to trim down a lil bit to get it to slip in the coil easier.
Best overall power & just seems cleaner too. Nice mod, it works!
