I grew up on a track racing old Chevys, also, and you're right, thinking about shifting and all...Maybe 80/20, with no missed gears...For the street bracket, where everyone ran autos, it was definitely 90/10...put it to the floor, don't red light, and don't let up until it's over...

Yupp, i bracket race a 5 spd... Its way more challenging like a manual quad sorta. Autos are for ******* :haha: You got more control with a stick...

Back to the threads topic, I believe mine and duners warrior will def stack up right beside a 400ex. Now of course a equally modded 400ex like ours would pull even against our super mod wardogs I think. Theres no replacement for displacement i always say

Exactly!!! That's why I stuck with old Chevys, specifically a '67 Chevelle(396, later a 502), a '69 Chevelle(396,325HP), and '67 Camaro (396, rated for 375HP, actual 425)... All 4 speed Muncies...Funnest thing I ever did... Aside from launching nukes from a submarine, that is...

Then climbed on the Warrior and scared the $hit out myself...the damn thing pulls harder than my cousins CR250

There is something seriously wrong with that CR250. Only way a warrior will pull on a CR250 is if you push them both out an airplane to see which hits first.

Don't mean faster, I mean just feels a lot more torquier...

Haven't gotten a chance to ride, it's been rainy down here all weekend and for the past several weeks, so the yards sloppy anyways...I get sideways even on a mild shift to second...

I've got a Raptor 700 SE with a speedo. I just bought my son a 01 Warrior. Seems stock except for a K&N and cobra exhaust. It runs in the low 60's best we've seen is 64 slowest 59. That's on long straight clay roads. That's not trying to judge on short high speed bursts. I'm talking miles of wide open throttle.

Yupp that sound bout right. Funny thing is, is that 700 is just puttin beside the warrior :haha:

The Raptor is just cruzing at that speed. The only mods I've done to it is the rims, and a matching set of sand stars. Still bone stock it averages 74, I've seen 82. That's fast enough for this old man. It's quite, reliable and soaks up the rough stuff. I've had modded out Raptors run away from me like I run away from the Warrior. I'll leave the 90mph stuff to you young guys.

I know my buddys 300 Honda ute tops out @ 45 via his speedometer, and I was cruising with him maybe 1/2 way through 4th gear...
