spring on air mixture screw???

there wasnt one when i took my carb apart??


will that make a difference in how it starts?

mine didn't have one either. I put a spring back in it, bc i figured it would vibrate loose and fall out without it..

May be wrong but i bet its just there so the air fuel mixture screw wont fall out? But it for sure wont hurt to put a spring in there
