You only need a 145 if stock, if not then you wont, 147.5 150 152.5 155. See what you have in there now

I have a K&N and that's about it... is there only a main jet and the rest are adjustable? I will probably wait to jet after a do the exhaust in a week or two so I will then have K&N and a FULL exhaust(not slipon) but in the next day or two I am going to strip and clean carb so will have a better understanding I hope

Thats a nice looking bike loving the front tires

Good to see I am not the only one that refers to them as bikes lol... It looks real gooder all cleaned up when I am at the shop next ill take a few pics

Love the tires myself except they are a bitch to seal.. apparently its a known issue and the manufacturer suggests using them on bead locked rims only

And while removing the bearing from the rear carrier I noticed it has a crack... Hopefully it can be welded or else its MORE money that I didnt expect to spend lol
20120502_230328.jpg

It can be welded. Mine actually is in the same place an it works fine.

On another note, to check to see if it is in time you need to line that "T" up then take your cam gear cover off and look for the line on it and look for the notch on the head. If it doesnt "tick" when its runin then it should be fine anyways.

Painted my red plastics today with krylon Fusion..

The Tank Cover before.. trust me its not as good as it looks

After some 80Grit...
20120503_231855.jpg

Then did some 220 Grit...
20120503_231626.jpg

Then I used a torch to heat it a bit... Not sure what the torch does I just know i always see people do it before painting plastic...
20120503_232210.jpg

Then for the hood I only used TSP to clean it no sanding.. thought id see if any prep is really neccesary, after the TSP I used the torch again

Tank painted(not as orange as pic looks id say its yamaha red) and front fender before paint showing how bad it actually is when in person...
20120503_234847.jpg

Both painted...
20120504_000437.jpg

by looks they both turned out the same.. the can says it takes 7 days to fully cure so I am going to wait that long before touching it at all and then we shall see if they both hold up well

Got rear bearings installed into carrier the side with the brake attached wasn't perfectly round so was a bitch to get it started was amazed at after all the pounding I had to do with a 2lb hammer to get the axle out how easily it all slid together.. I put some never seize on it so it will come apart just as easily when its time again
20120505_000137.jpg

Also took another pic of painted plastic on silver background so the true colour shows up better... I tried to scratch the paint off with my nail and it wouldnt come off and its only been one day(can says full cure is 7 days)

Aight bro. Lots in here so let me see. A compression test Will be a good start. If it's smoking that's also a sign of wear in the cylinder or poor rings. I would personally inspect the jug & piston if it were me, I recently found a crack in my piston when I pulled it down for a re-fresh. It's worth a look if you're concerned or plan to keep the machine.
My personal opinion is that the K&N filter doesn't do much w/o the airbox & lid modded or Atleast the lid. If you're doing a full exhaust & mod the lid, get yourself a few jets from Jets R Us, get Mikuni, not Keihin. Get a 45 & maybe a 47.5 pilot, a 150 & 152.5 main, they're only a few bucks apiece. Good luck with the project, you're badass with a spray bomb, lol!

i just put the tusk clutch kit in my warrior a couple weeks ago and pulls great! It has the heavy duty springs also.

sweet job so far! I cant wait to see how this thing turns out! like the front tires btw!

some more pics, put on some new grips, painted the bars and got some headlights on there(they are the broken ones from my other thread all fixed up) I cut the "Brush Guards" off of them because they where cracked etc and I figure this way they will make more light anyhow and I plan on replacing them with a 8" LED Bar someday

The grips are FANTASTIC! THey are ODI Rogue LOCK-ON Grips they feel fantastic and lock on tight, No more riding down a trail and pulling the grip off lol

Also painted the "chain guard" but not very well I just scraped it with a wire brush to ruffen it up and painted it.. more for DONE photos than having it last

That pic where you found the metal shavings from your swing arm are actually the needle bearings in them. You are going to need to replace those.

What kind of paint did you spray on the exhaust? I have a stock pipe thats a bit rusty but I didn't think paint could cover it and stand the heat?

1500 or 2000 degree high temp paint works great on exhaust

Hmm cool didn't know about it. Thanks
