OK so i got this quad 2000 warrior and had no spark and wouldnt trun over using the start button. I have fixed the start button issue and upon testing the pickup coil i got nothing so i replaced that. Now i still get nothing when testing it but when i turn the key on and the first time i press start it will spark ONCE. but not again untill you turn key off and try again. IDEAS??? :argh:

I don't know if the cdi can be checked have you ohmed the source coil yet? I would start there first

To test the Source coil (for the ignition) connect your pocket tester from the white/green wire to the red wire. Resistance should be 270~330 ohms resistance.

ok brb lol ill test it..... Could there be a short in start swicth?? or would that give me no spark at all ever.

if ya have a blue spark then I suspect the cdi; but still check the source coil. have you tried bump starting it?

put it in 3rd gear or higher and push it with someone on it (so if it starts they can pull the clutch), and just push till it starts! dont do it often though its bad for your clutch.

have you checked all the grounds? make sure the orange wire coming from cdi isn't shorting out on frame in back my 01 had that problem
