Switch, what switch?

Hey I just thought I would throw this out there and see if someone could tell me what this switch does?

Its the parking brake switch. Just unplug it and then unplug it into itself.

Oh ok... It has just been hanging there next the shock ever since I bought it. I don't have a parking break so that's why I never knew what it was.
