switch wiring harness over?

Is there a way you can make a newer harness work on older modle?
I got the 97+ and it dosent fit, its finally starting to warm up and i can fol with the warrior now! Could i possibly splice? or have to buy a new CDI and Rectifire?

97-01 have the same harness. your sig says you have a 00 so it will fit
