I've been wanting to do a tear down on my 2001 warrior and have the frame powder coated. My question is, how big of a job is this? Is the motor and everything a pain to take out? Anything really major I will run in too?

I don't want to get myself into something that is going to take months and months to finish.

Thanks -Zach

It's nuts & bolts man but you'd better be sure to tag & bag. If it's gonna take very long you might just want to leave it alone, especially if you don't have much experience.

I've never pulled a full motor out of a bike, but I've got a fairly built banshee that I''ve messed with here and there so i'm not a complete newb ya know.

I had mine down to the cases and swing-arm. If I can do that, you can go farther lol

its no prob make sure you remember you remember were the bolts go and you should be fine its not water cooled or anything so you dont haveto fight coolant

Label bolts and if your not having a part that bolts on powder coated tape it in the hole. As long as you dont get side tracked and your powder coater is relatively fast you could probably tear it down and put it back together in less than a month. Oh and a camera is your friend in the tear down and reassembly.
