Sweet! We went to a swap meet today, first time in about 7 years. It sucked ass! Was VERY dissapointed. Very little good stuff. Mostly old smog heads, one seat of of swirl type early 90's center bolt heads, and smog carbs. No good q-jets anywhere. And there were very little venders. Only thing good that I probably should have bought, was a super clean edel 2/4 intake with 2 500cfm's, w/air cleaner and linkage... $375.
The fella I got my 49 gmc from has a 63 impala that is good for parts. Has a 283 and powerglide. Am going to call and talk to him. Want to take the crank outta that and put it in an 87-94 4 bolt main "K" engine. Then build the powerglide and find a vega.
