I got a starter and the quad cranks now, so that is progress but its not getting spark. When I pull the plug and set it on the motor all I get is a small spark to the electrode on the plug. What could it be now? I put the stator from the locked up 98 motor on here. You can't tell me that the motor locked up and the stator went bad all at once. Where are the ground on these. I check the one that is on the top case bolt.

pull the plug cap off cut about a quarter inch of the plug wire, put the cap back on make sure its tight and check you coil

I'll try that. Are the flywheels different on 95's and 98's? maybe the trigger magnet is different?

ok, The 95 motor has the 98 stator on it so its good there. PO said that it would crank forever and never start with the starter but it would bump start and run. Gotta be the stator right?

yeah my buddy had thae same probblem with his banshe he would kick forever but when i pul started it would frie up. defniatle stator

Yupp. Stator. Weak and inconsistent. Pop in a new stator and go wheel!

I recieved the cheapest stator ebay had to offer in the mail today. (hopefully no regrets). Threw it in and it fired up. There was quite a thud/clank when it died but I seem to remember my other warrior doing this as well.
