don't pay that much for it. go to vito's and get it. i got the 10.50 kit with cometic gaskets for under 200 bucks.

get yourself a warrior manual and it'll be a piece of cake. i hadn't ever rebuilt a topend before i did mine and now i have done 4 since then. if you have a little mechanical ability and are willing to follow directions it should be easy.

i dont know much about this kit, since i rebuilt mine with stock parts but as far as i know you can use stock valve train, unless you decide to go over on the valve which your then gonna want to go with a aftermarket cam springs and valves. imo 10.5:1 would be better since you dont have to run 110 which is quite pricey. theres quite a couple people on here with je 366's and they seem to be quite reliable. if you know someone who does machine work id say go for it. but if you do rebuild it dont skimp out on anything replace all the bolts gaskets etc, and check over your vavles for anyhting that needs replacing. you wouldnt want one of your valves falling apart 10 mins into a ride and destroying your new piston

awesome, what is vitos? and online site?

do you like the 366 compared to stock?

and also how do you know the difference between stage 1 and 2 hotcams for these? i wanna do a whole engine overhaul.

Im wanting to do.

performance cam
366 kit
valves and springs

just tryin to get more umpffff!

Stage 1 is made for duners or tourqe lovers stage 2 is more hp and mx style the stage 3 cam is for strokers and if your already there why not valve it? Ti valves springs ect

Yupp the 366 really wakes the quad up. I believe that a .390 cam is the best for this build too, you get great all over performance. Puttin it all together is eay after you get the parts. You still gotta get the bore and hone done. I'd also suggest gettin some head work done while your at it. P&P and heavy springs will do but if you can afford it, got with the +1 intake. All that and you'll feel like your on a whole new machine.

Thats basically 87war exact built......minus the springs. I'm always debating dropping down to the .390 cam myself and opening up the ports a little bit too.

I got the HD springs in there too. Just in case i wanted to up the cam more. But yeah like dead said the .390 cam is prob the best for trails and all around riding. If your doing alot of full throttle than maybe the bigger cams would be better.

I think I'm gonna go for it. I'm just worried about the head work and installing the piston and rings I've never done any of that before

Its no sweat man. Just get a clymer manual so you can do it step by step. Just take your time and triple check everything!! Make sure all the bolts get torqued to spec,( im a big freak about torqueing ****)

Ya it seems straight forward that's why I like these quads there simple and reliable.

Hey gotta nother question. i read around and people say you need a piston compresser or something? i thought you can just tap the cylinder down on the connecting rod and piston?

im second guessing messing with the engine since its been so reliable! and also this ridin season is already here!

Also is there a way to paint the case and head?

my case was split and worked on and peiced together by 2 different motors i belive since one side is black and the other is like grey. i want a nice matching motor!

engine paint, you can get it at a autoparts store. The ring compresser is so you can put the piston in the sleeve
