i allreaddy addressed the cable problem, im talking about the spring on the wheel of the edelbrock, it needs to be wound one more time around so the slide closes (it only sticks when it gets wet)

does nobody on this site understand me or something, do i speak a different language

You shouldn't have to do anything to get the throttle to close all the way, as long as you keep it cleaned and lubed like you're supposed to. I don't really know how you would go about winding that spring tigher without the risk of screwing it up more.

The edelbrock carb is designed for a push pull type throttle IMO...

I could enver have this problem with my carb because i have a twist throttle, when i let off the gass it pulls the carb shut rather than just using the spring, although the spring causes it to return itself, if it ever sticks all i have to do is just rotate it back by hand.

I'm the one who had to wind my spring one more round. I just took a pair of needle nose pliers and grabbed the end of the spring where it points down and touches the side of the carb body, pulled it toward the back of the carb, then up (open throttle all the way) and feed end of spring back down to where it was. Make sure it is in the same spot on the side of the carb body, it will want to pop up toward the top causing no improvement. I have done this to mine and have had no problems with the throttle sticking when it gets wet! ;)
