Today when I was riding My warrior started to make a ticking noise and I noticed a loss in power , the noise matched my engine speed /:
what could this be ?

Take the valve covers off, rotate the engine to TDC, and make sure that the valve adjustment screws have not backed out. Seen this many times. If they have, don't ride your bike at all until you get new screws and locknuts. They will not hold if you try to readjust them.

Okay so I wet to do the adjustment and I believe the adjust ment screw backed-out like gen1 said ..
It's just a bolt and a rocker arm . I have a video but it won't upload

I would see if you can find the nut more than likely it will still be up in the valve area

Okay so I got the nut out , set my valves and it was a huge difference .
But it happened again /:
It's blowing out smoke too but this has been happening . I was wondering if any of you know what the compression should be , cause I'm gonna check that and if it's low I'll probably just rebuild it . But if it's not what the hell could cause the smoke cause it smokes on idle ( not so much but decent little cloud ) but under acceleration I leave pretty big thick clouds . It's like worse then my brothers Ol yz 250 lol
I think my timing jumped a tooth but I don't think that's the reason . Any ideas?

Is it blue or black smoke? If it is blue, it's oil. And, if it's blue, but starts and runs, then you have adequate compression. It just means that your oil control rings are worn out. Either way you could be looking at a top end rebuild. If the smoking stops once the engine is warm, it's valve seals.

Also, did you install new valve adjuster screws and locknuts?

Well yeah it runs and rides, but even when it's warm it smokes & it's definatly got a tiny of blue to it so I guess it is the rings .
I only put new lock nuts on, should I replace the adjuster screw anyway ?

They're probably cheap so I think I'll do so . Thanks for all the help guys .
& One day you won't have the ONLY elite first gen pat haha
