alright i bought my warrior for 1700 and put 600 in for new stator and coils. so 2300 in it as of now. i also spent 500 for new suspention parts. should i sell my bike and get a 400 ex? or keep my parts and complete making it sick? is a 400ex worth it? have alot of problems?

This is a "warrior" site, your gonna get hate against the 400ex.

Heres the first, everyone and there brother has either a 300ex or a 400ex. I hate them

yeah but if i get the 400ex i dont need to drop money on it to over do a warrior. i mean yeah its cool to roll up in a souped up warrior thats legit enough to run with them like u do :) but a) thats alllot of money to do and b) is it really worth it?

Hells yes its worth it. I love the look on the face of someone with a 400 and my warrior will up it in everything. I dont have that much in mine. In the end its what you want. I just prefer something no one else has.

worth it is up to you. But why get a 400ex, you still be saying the same thing in a month. And FYI you really should have bought aftermarket stator instead of the OEM one would have saved over $400 that you could have used for upgrades.

no offense, but its your own fault for dumping that much money into something....why 600 bucks for stator and coils? you could probably do it new on ebay for 200 bucks. and new suspension? what kind of new suspension? i bought my '00 warrior for 500 bucks, and put 300 bucks into it so far, and its almost like a brand new quad. needs some front end work, but in time it will happen.

Hows this for you certain years of the EX dont have reverse. Unfortunately I cant remember the year they finally got it. I myself am just not a big Honda ATV fan, motorcycle on the other hand I would take.

ok family im sticking with my warrior. and i didnt my dad did lol. and im putting mods into it my self so yeah. i couldnt leave you guys anyways. way to awesome to leave. u guys help me out soo much.i love u guys at yfm350.com

yes 2005 is when they came out with reverse in the 400ex and new plastic too. I have had 3 different 400ex's and i am proud to say the warrior is a better quad by far!!

if you want the 400ex then get it. they are bullet proof as far as i'm concerned, but that's not saying the warrior isn't as well. if you want something better outta the box then 400ex it is.

imho though, i'd never even think about buying a 400ex atm. you'd be way more happy with a 450r.

I personally love the 400ex. I am one of the rare people that love Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawi. I would get one in a hearbeat if it didnt mean i would have to give up my warrior. I have just learned too much about the Warrior now to just get rid of her.

on a side note im the same way on vehicles. I love ford, chevy, dodge, you name it.:slayer:

Ive been bit by the warrior bug, but before the warrior, i rode a 400 ex, and i loved it, just a little too front end light at high speeds. If you want something out of the box to play around with, then get a 400ex, but if you wanna have a quad that is a great weekend toy and you wanna start it up as a project quad anytime, go with a warrior. Im not hating on hondas, and i may catch some crap for it, but i enjoy both yamaha and honda and i loved riding my dads 400, but when my warrior gets running, i may have to put my dad in his place

i have a 400ex and a 350warrior both stock'ish(just K&N) if I am out for a day of trail riding its the warrior hands down.. no way in hell im riding that 400ex over rough rocky terrain and since it has no reverse I have to constantly move it by hand on a trail.. and my warrior needs some work where as the 400ex is flawless but I would still rather the warrior roughly running down a trail than the flawless 400ex, another reason being the 400ex feels tippy whereas the warrior is planted to the ground.

If I was going to the dunes for the day it would be the 400ex no questions asked

the 400ex's are so much easier to wheelie, because the warrior does have a chunky frontend but that isnt a bad thing by no means. I love the warrior's frontend because im a hill climber, and that comes in very handy! The warrior is also firmly planted on the ground where the 400 is a little top heavy so if you like sliding around corners the warrior is for you. Here is a video of my friend on a 400ex trying to follow my warrior!

if you ride a lot I'd suggest getting an ims gas tank hell it's cheap compared to a 600 dollar stator and coil lol. look at my pics I have 1300 total in mine so far
