Setting up a trip to Paragon in Pa for the 20th-21st of this month. Right now it's just me and a few buddies going, and yamahabud from this site is planning on going along and bringing one of his friends with him. You can see what paragon has to offer at www.paragonap.com. Again, anybody is welcome to tag along. Post or PM me any questions if you're interested.

I know it's kinda short notice, but I thought i'd just put the offer out there anyways.

I'm kind of interested, but I don't know how the wife will feel about that on such short notice....lol. Let me talk to her and make sure we don't have anything going on that weekend. I'd only go out on Sunday, Saturdays are no good for me. I'll talk to her tomorrow sometime and see how it goes...heh..heh..heh....

OK, I think we're in. Probably stay overnight Saturday somewhere out there, and then wake up and ride. My buddy is probably coming too. I'll talk to a few others and see if I can get a couple of us to come. I'll chat with you as it gets closer to finalize things. Sound good?

Damn I would love to come, it's about a 5hr drive but it would be fun! If I can work it in I will let you know. Are there any cheap motels close by?
Thanks

sounds great guys, I really hope you can work something out and make it. It would be cool to get a decent sized group together. And we should have a 4x4 with a winch along in case somebody tries something crazy/stupid (as I have been know to do towards the end of the day).

Make sure you check out paragon's rules and requirements, so that you have everything that you will need. I'll try to take as many tools and spare parts along as i can, in case somebody strays off the trail and sticks it to a tree

I don't know about the prices, but I know there is at exit 145, paragon is exit 143. We just camp there, it's $5 a night (better have a heater or a hella good sleeping bag though).

Yeah, we'll be bringing some tools and whatever spare parts I can think of. I have a plug kit I'll bring, and a small compressor that I can leave in the truck. If it's not too cold I may pitch a tent.

Called and made reservations today ;D Definately two of us in, maybe more....

I just went last monday, We were the only ones there, it was great! My friend cracked his warrior case so we towed him out and it took us one hour to get out, that was at a constant ride too. We were in DEEEEP. Can't afford to go out again so soon. Any questions PM me I have been there plenty of times. Mike

So here's how it's looking so far. Yamahabud and one of his buddies will be there to ride saturday. I'll get there saturday morning, camp out, and leave sunday, probably sometime around 3pm so we can get home at a decent time. I'll have the warrior of course, my buddy John will have his monster eiger, so we have a tow vehicle in case somebody figures out a way to get stuck. Saturday night John's brother will be coming up and camping out, then riding with us sunday, on a beat up honda 250x. So we have at least one machine everybody should be able to outrun.

Saturday we probably won't get up there until 9am or a little before, and sunday, well, it depends on how cold it is and how motivated we feel... But you guys can call me that morning on my cell and i'll let you know what's going on, and we can find a place to meet up.

I won't be able to make it guys! I am interested in any other future trips though so keep posting them. Have fun!!

Thanks

Its pretty rocky in a lot of areas, so be prepared! you WILL get stuck, some trails involved 4x4 jeep ruts hidden under water, so GOdspeed!

Good day of riding!! Ended up not riding with YamaRider much because my friend was a newb on a dirtbike, and the ice, snow, and mud did not help him much. I had a problem in the end, at the far end of the park. I think my eletrical system ended up freezing after I stopped for 2 minutes. The water/mud got frozen in layers!!! We rushed back to the lot (over the speed limit) before they shut the gates.

Other wise, great day, and ya, it is rocky, but it was definatley worth the aches and pains after. And I give YamaRider, and who ever else was there, A LOT of credit for camping out in 11*F, never mind negative wind chills at 30mph gusts!!!

Yes, it was definitely some good riding this weekend and it's the first time I was ever there without being muddy and wet the whole time. Coooold as hell though.

*shivers*

Storydude, what do you mean Paragon is closing? That link doesn't work. I don't have any idea why they would be closing, it's definitely not from a lack of business, because on this was the coldest weekend of the year and the parking lot was still full.

That kinda pisses me off. Looks like i might end up finding somewhere else to ride. Maybe i'll get a membership at tower city again. It's a shorter drive, but the trails aren't so nice and can be dangerous. I dunno, it sucks though.
