Just wondering...Saw on another forum where people were complaining that the High Comp wiseco seized on them if they didn't warm up bike before every ride? Is this the case for anyone here? I know duneracer LOVES their cranks lol but anyone have problems with their oversize pistons/rings like not sized exact or siezing in the cylinder? To me it sounded like a lack of common sense not letting the oil get circulated but I may very well be wrong...

I had a Wiesco in the 98 I had, never had a single problem with it. But I always did let it idle for a couple of minutes if it was a cold start. Of coarse if they installed it them selves and didnt check things like piston ring end gaps and other stuff that could also be a problem.

yea, honestly i dunno why anyone wouldn't let any engine build oil pressure on cold start. It just extends engine life so much imo!

I've never heard of it either. I've used Wisecos on every bike I've rebuilt, and have never had an issue. But, if they didn't install it correctly, the ring end gaps weren't done properly, or the cylinder not bored and honed to the exact size needed, this could happen.

I'm going to back up pat and say that if the bore size isn't per what the piston manufacture recomends then for sure have a good chance of seazing the piston and breaking ring lands.

Thanks guys, I thought it sounded funny but thought I would throw it out there.
