Just replaced my clutch this weekend and had no problems with the job but now when I pull in the clutch and put into first gear the neutral light goes out like it should but it won't go into gear until I release the clutch and put in to gear for the second time. It won't go into gear on the first try always the second try, it doesn't grind or make noise it just won't go in gear.once it's in gear it shifts and runs great, could this be a cable adjustment? If so are there any vids. On the right way to adjust the cable on the 99 warrior?

when I put the clutch together I made sure I lined the arrow on the pressure plate up with the arrow on the clutch basket, but thinking back the friction plates have little U shaped grooves on the edges that fit into the basket and I didn't put them all in the same space on the clutch basket. Could this be my problem? It will up shift and down shift fine once I get into first but it is the initial double clutch that I have to do that only happened after I replaced the new clutch. Also it seems like the clutch grabs way out for a new clutch, in other words it is almost out of my hand and then the bike goes, I played with the adjuster on the clutch leaver but it really don't make a difference.

the shift star is wore out had the same issue on #5 when I got it all back together after the build luckily I had a spare bottom end with a good star to swap it out with

I had to change out the spring loaded arm with the wheel on cause the shift shaft was catching on it making me have to double tap to get iot in first

When I am at a dead stop and idling, I pull the clutch in and put it into first but nothing happens until I let the clutch out slowly and then it sucks it into gear. and the crazy part is it don't happen all the time, its like 5 out of 10 times. When riding it shifts fine. I am so at a loss right now. The dealer wants 95.00 per hour with a 2 hr min. I cant afford that right now.
