i don't fill anything with sand and mine bends great...although i have modified the bender a little bit.

also, if you are bending tube in that bender its not gonna work...its a pipe bender....tube and pipe are two totally different things....please don't makke me get into this...LOL

i've built tons of jeep parts with my bender and still use it today. i can get kink free 160 degree bends for jeep stingers and such
